@ArjayeJeter Erica [Prod.Chris G]

Chicago’s own Arjaye Jeter continues his push towards his debut project, Year of the Villain with his latest single, “Erica” produced by Chris G. The track comes on the heels of Arjaye’s release of his video for “Weekend In Chicago” which premiered on GoILL.net and continues to set the tone for his eclectic offering which is due out next month. “Erica” is an abstracted hip-hop track that is both rooted in the sort of boom-bap aesthetics that Jeter is known for and also a sort of Cudi-esque progression forward for an artist that has been regularly supplying his hometown’s bloggers with a steady stream of thoughtful, talented hip-hop for some time now.

Arjaye Jeter is a Chicago artist from the southside of the city. Arjaye has been active in Chicago’s music scene releasing a few self produced projects over the past few years recording his projects himself and working with many different studios in the city. Arjaye makes hip-hop music that is rooted in the thoughtful lyricism often connected with his hometown and benefits from an observational flow that tends to contextualize the world around him. He has had successful events for past projects at Jugrnaut, been featured on the cover of local Chicago magazine Level-Up, worked closely with Thelonious Martin and been posted on most of Chicago’s local blogs to build his fan base. Arjaye Jeter’s upcoming project Year of the Villain will be his debut full length project.
